Sustainability

Classic and long lasting design is in itself sustainable. But of course, it is not enough. That’s why each and every brand in the NOD group sees environmental and social responsibility as a natural priority.

Each of our design brands work to create products for homes that can be passed on from one generation to the next. In the design and production process they seek to minimise harm and contribute to positive developments. This requires robust and ever improving processes for what materials to use, choice of suppliers and production methods and solutions for care and repair.

To leverage, learn and improve faster, NOD supports all brands with joint policies and processes for responsible conduct and with structured work on transparency, KPIs, targets, training. We take initiatives to further raise the bar and share our best practices.

We focus on four of the UN Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 as we have identified them as the most relevant for NOD. These are Gender Equality (5), Decent work and economic growth (8), Responsible consumption and production (12) and Climate action (13).

In the end, our brands need to not only look good at home. They need to do good along the way.
