Network of Design – Our Story

Network of Design (NOD) began with a conviction: the world doesn’t need more fast products that disappear with the season. The constant chase for trends has created a culture of consumption that harms both people and the planet. What the world does need is Nordic design that lasts – products that carry originality, quality, and a timelessness that makes them worth keeping.

When we started in 2020, we saw a clear opportunity. Across the Nordics there were design-driven companies with extraordinary heritage and craftsmanship. Their products were loved by those who knew them, but their full potential had not yet been realized. NOD was founded to change that, to give these brands the reach and support they deserve, without ever compromising on their identity.

Some of the companies in our group have been around long enough to be called design classics. Others were born in a digital-first world and thrive in fast-moving online markets. What unites them is a shared belief in creating originals that stand the test of time.

We are not a centralized corporation. We are a true network. Ideas, resources, and experiences are shared directly between companies, making every brand stronger. By building on one another’s strengths, we accelerate growth into new markets, explore new channels, and develop products with greater impact.

Many of our brands were founded by entrepreneurs in small towns, where the company is woven into the local community. Joining NOD does not mean losing that identity. On the contrary, we honor and protect those roots while helping each company grow sustainably – whether by finding the right successor, building new international markets, or developing stronger business models for the future.

Today, NOD continues to grow, both organically and via new additions to the group. We carefully select ambitious brands and entrepreneurs who share our vision: to bring Nordic design to every corner and pocket of the world. Together we are building something greater than the sum of our parts, which is a network of design-driven companies with originality, quality, and sustainability at heart.

And we are only at the beginning. As we look ahead, our ambition is not only to expand but to deepen the impact of Nordic design globally, shaping environments, inspiring people, and proving that design done right can stand the test of both time and trends.
