Photowall x Kid’s Concept: Where Imagination Meets Design

What if a ceiling could be more than just a ceiling?

That question sparked the beginning of a new collaboration within NOD between Photowall and Kid’s Concept — two sister companies united by a shared passion for design, creativity, and creating meaningful spaces for children. Together, they’re reimagining what a child’s room can be by turning the ceiling into an inspiring canvas for imagination.

This partnership blends Kid’s Concept’s expertise in playful, child-centered design with Photowall’s bold approach to creative interiors. The result? A collection that doesn’t just decorate a room — it transforms it.

“The ceiling as a starting point for stories, dreams, and creativity — that’s what we set out to explore in this collaboration between Kid’s Concept and our sister company Photowall. Few things feel more meaningful than transforming everyday spaces into places children can dream beneath. I’m so happy and proud of the result — imaginative, playful, and full of heart. A big thank you to the amazing teams at Kid’s Concept and Photowall for bringing this idea to life with such care and creativity from start to finish. I can’t wait to hear the bedtime stories this ceiling will inspire.”

— Malin Hultqvist, CEO Kid’s Concept

From dreamy skies to whimsical patterns, each ceiling design is an invitation to explore, dream, and imagine. Whether it’s waking up beneath a painted sky or drifting off under the stars, this collaboration brings a touch of magic into everyday life.

“The collaboration is a great example of what we can accomplish when we partner up, combine our insights and knowledge and work together towards a shared vision. Our vision was to create magical spaces for children. By combining Photowall’s expertise in wallpaper design and customization with Kid’s Concept’s ability to create playful and cohesive children’s rooms, we designed a unique collection with sensibly chosen patterns and colors. Our creative teams have done a fantastic job — it’s a joy to be able to contribute to more inspiring children’s rooms across the world.”

— Malin Fredstorp, CMO Photowall

Beyond the beautiful results, the collaboration stands as an inspiring example of what can happen when sister companies unite their strengths. The synergy was unforced, fueled by mutual respect and a shared love for imaginative design.

NOD as an owner is very thankful for the talented teams behind the scenes who brought this vision to life — and the two ‘Malins’ for leading the way with their very collaborative approach. This initiative was an idea during the very first meetings between NOD and the founders of Kid’s Concept, and now the idea has been executed on, in a more creative way than ever. And as always for Kid’s Concept, where the child’s perspective has played a major role as part of the creative process.
